There is one common thing that can benefit just about everyone and that is balance. Balance not only helps your activity of choice such as running or lifting but also can just help keep you healthy and from falling in everyday life. This becomes especially important as you get older. The great thing about balance is that you can get better! You aren’t born with a certain amount of balance and that is that. Focusing on increase your core strength is a huge part of balance. Here are some exercises you can do improve your balance.


Start on your hands and knees. Make sure your back is flat and you are keeping your core tight throughout the move. Extend your left leg back behind you and your right arm forward. Hold this position for 3-5 seconds then return to start. The goal of this move is to help balance yourself and keep your core engaged.
